Info
Tornado developed as a waterspout over Keystone Lake near the Pawnee/Osage County border. Many homes, barns, and a church were damaged, some heavily, and a doughnut shop was destroyed, all west of Sand Springs. A mobile home park was struck within the western part of Sand Springs, where numerous mobile home units were destroyed, resulting in one fatality there before the tornado dissipated. Numerous trees and power lines were downed along the path, and 30 people were injured. Very strong straight-line winds (up to 100 MPH) accompanied the tornado, resulting in more damage to structures (including a gymnasium) further east.
