A low-end EF2 embedded in a larger area of straight-line winds moved east-southeast along an intermittent path through Moore before lifting 7 miles (11 km) southeast of downtown Moore. Most of the damage observed was EF1, with only a small area of EF2-strength damage. A few homes had their roofs torn off, three radio towers were bent in half or collapsed, and an elementary school sustained major roof damage. Trees and power lines were downed, and vehicles were tossed and flipped, a few of which were overturned on Interstate 35.
